Eastspring's Mutual Funds Now Available at Maybank Indonesia

Jakarta. Eastspring Investments Indonesia, one of the largest investment managers in the country, has signed into a strategic partnership with Bank Maybank Indonesia, the local unit of Malaysia's largest lender, for selling the former's mutual fund products.
Glant Saputra Hadi, the head of segmentation at Maybank Indonesia, and Alan J. Tangkas Darmawan, the president director of Eastspring Indonesia, signed the partnership on Tuesday.
"We warmly welcome the collaboration in marketing mutual fund products with Maybank Indonesia," Alan said in a statement.
Maybank Indonesia joins a long list of banks and financial services companies that had become Eastspring sales agents, including Standard Chartered, Bank Central Asia (BCA), Mandiri Sekuritas, Phillip Sekuritas Indonesia, Ajaib, Tanam Duit, Bibit, and Bareksa.
Grant said the Maybank Indonesia was well-positioned to serve Indonesian customers looking to invest for retirement.
"An investment manager is needed to manage mutual funds professionally, to help Indonesians prepare their retirement," Glant said.
Maybank Indonesia, as the sales agent, would help investors to select a "wide selection of mutual fund products that match their risk profile and investment objectives," Glant said.
"Maybank Indonesia will continue to strive to provide alternative investment solutions for the community by paying attention to service quality," Glant said.
Eastspring Indonesia managed more than Rp 80 trillion in assets as of June 30, making it one of the largest assets manager in Indonesia. The company began operation in 2011. It is registered and supervised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
