Stock market live updates: Domestic equity markets extended opening gains on Monday amid continued strength in foreign inflows.
The broader markets opened firmly higher. The BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices rose up to 0.7 per cent.
From sectors, Nifty metals and realty indices led gains, rising up to 1 per cent. On the other hand, Nifty auto and pharma pockets were the most weak.
Among stocks, PVR rose over 1 per cent after Societe Generale bought 3.23 lakh shares(around 0.5 per cent stake) in the company at Rs 1861.42 apiece via block deals.
